Children's school for public speaking – IN ENGLISH

In 2014, we started carrying out a program called »Children's school for public speaking« for elementary school students in grades four through nine, which represents the first comprehensive approach to teaching children in Slovenia to perform successfully in front of an audience.

Our experience has shown that our students make exceptional progress through this program. They learn the fundamentals of successful and effective public speaking, and our detailed analysis of their performances at the end of the program shows that the students are more confident, they have improved their body language and the ability to maintain a positive presence and move appropriately while delivering a speech. Moreover, they communicate clearly, and accurately emphasize their speech.

We accept a maximum of 12 participants in one group, whom we work with once a week for two or three school lessons. The program is based on practical exercises - the students perform in front of a camera, and we carefully analyse the performances together with the students. The analysis is based on emphasizing the elements of their performance they have already mastered, and pointing out the areas that require further improvement.

At the "CHILDREN'S SCHOOL FOR PUBLIC SPEAKING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE" we are currently enrolling elementary school students only. The program will take place in Ljubljana, according to the following schedule*:

1^st meeting - October 4, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

2^nd meeting - October 11, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

3^rd meeting - October 18, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

4^th meeting - October 25, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

5^th meeting - November 8, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

6^th meeting - November 15, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

7^th meeting - November 22, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

8^th meeting - November 29, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

9^th meeting - December 6, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45

If any of the scheduled meetings gets cancelled, we will make up for it on December 13, 2023 from 15.15 to 16.45.

- the importance and impact of first impressions

- body language and its persuasiveness

- overcoming stage fright

- breathing and relaxation techniques

- clarity and comprehension in speech delivery

- public speaking in front of a camera

- radio appearances

Participants will be provided with all the necessary materials and equipment. We accept a maximum of 12 participants (ages 9 to 15) in the group. Tuition fee for 9 meetings (18 school lessons) is 210 euros + VAT. We will notify you of the exact location and address of the program at a later date as we are currently looking for a suitable location at a reasonable price.
